It is important to recognize that separation and divorce is especially difficult for children from infancy to teen.

Based on new regulations of the Ontario Divorce Act and Family Law Act, a parenting plan created in 2022 must place the needs of the child first. The child's mental, physical and emotional well-being is a priority and ex-couples must make decisions based on the best interest of the children. Children 7 and up are considered cognitively mature, therefore it is imperative to have their voice heard and allow their involvement in the mediation process to determine the very best co-parenting plan.

A parenting plan is customized according to the ages and needs of each child to ensure the environment is nurturing, safe and allows for positive connection with both parents. It is important to have an agenda when creating a plan on how time will be divided during the holdiays, school breaks, extended family involvment, grand parents and future partners. Parenting time and schedule should be revisited annually or as needed depending on circumstances or life changes.

Our fees structure:

All Arbitration matters carry a $240 per hour fee, Mediation services are $120 per hour, Parent Co-ordinator services are $120 per hour, Voice of the child report is $180 per hour.
